I’m a 3rd generation bay area native that had the good luck to grow up in Palo Alto, when it was still a sleepy college town. I create interactive artworks like the LEGOJeep supported by the sales of buttons and other nifty items, perform with the art/recycled materials band Crank Ensemble, and help produce art focused events like the Festival of Altars at Day of the Dead in San Francisco’s Mission. I work as a social media / web site developer for small businesses.
As a crew member of the internationally known art group Survival Research Laboratories (SRL), I have helped create shows here and in Europe, working with robots and machines up to 4 tons in size. I have also helped to create artwork and shows with First Church of the Buzzard, Flaming Lotus Girls, Kal Spellitch, Justin Gray, and Rebecca Anders, among others.
As part of my work with fire effects and fire spitting robots I have helped develop the rules of the use, storage, and handing of flame throwers in public performance with the State of California Fire Marshall’s office in Sacramento. As part of that process I completed and passed a complete FBI background check in order to use and possess a flame thrower (which some robots I have worked with have) in the State of California.
Beyond these art achievements, I am proud to have achieved the rank of Eagle scout with Troop 5 of Palo Alto.
